Final Shot, Epilogue, and Closing Credits

Artemisia's gesture of making an image resembles a film director's, and the closing images of her paintings in the epilogue appear like iris shots, again as fragments. In the closing shots of the film, Artemisia stops moving and plants herself behind the velo. This is in contrast to the many earlier moments in the film we seeing her running, usually in flight.
